Frequently asked questions

What should I check?

Results use the tool’s fixed conversion rules and displayed rounding; verify precision for your use.

Is temperature conversion just multiplication?

No. The formulas are °C=(°F−32)×5÷9, °F=°C×9÷5+32 and K=°C+273.15. These convert readings, not temperature differences: entering 1 °C gives a reading of 33.8 °F, not the size of a 1 °C change.

How precise are the result and copied value?

Temperature results are rounded to four decimal places and unnecessary trailing zeros are removed. Copy uses that displayed value. Thermometer error, cooking time and equipment calibration are not calculated.
