Which units and conversion factors are used?

Supported units are kg, g, mg, t, lb and oz. Their factors in kilograms are 1, 0.001, 0.000001, 1000, 0.45359237 and 0.028349523125 respectively. The result is input × source factor ÷ destination factor. The t unit is a metric tonne.

Why is the result rounded or shown with e?

Ordinary results are rounded to six decimal places with trailing zeros removed. Nonzero magnitudes below 0.0001 or at least 10 billion use scientific notation, as in 1.0000e-6. Check the displayed precision before using a result.

Can I convert ounces to a liquid volume?

This category converts mass only. Fluid ounces, troy ounces, US short tons and UK long tons are not listed. Converting mass to volume also requires the density of the material.
