Subtitle Timing Adjuster

Shift every SRT or WebVTT cue earlier or later by a fixed number of seconds without changing its duration.

When to use this tool

How to use

  1. Open a UTF-8 subtitle file or paste its contents.
  2. Enter seconds: positive delays subtitles, negative makes them earlier. Up to three decimal places.
  3. Apply the shift, inspect all results and download the same subtitle format.

Examples

Input: 00:00:01,250 --> 00:00:03,500; +1.250 s
Result: 00:00:02,500 --> 00:00:04,750

Frequently asked questions

Can a fixed offset fix subtitles that gradually drift?

No. This shifts every cue equally and cannot correct gradual drift or an FPS mismatch. If any shifted start is negative, the whole operation is rejected. WebVTT inline timing cues are rejected; use an editor that supports karaoke timing.
