Create a static URL QR code in your browser and save PNG or SVG. Check the address, margins and a scan at the intended print size; review what happens if the link changes.
The QR stores the entered address. The page at that address may change or stop working. To encode a different address, generate a new QR code.
The address encoded in the image cannot be edited. For a different address, generate and print a new QR. A site operator may change the content or redirects at the existing address, or stop serving it. QRLab does not manage redirects or scan analytics.
Keep the area around the code clear of cropping, text and artwork. DENSO WAVE specifies a four-module margin on every side for standard QR codes (https://www.qrcode.com/en/howto/code.html). The current initial and reset setting is 2 modules, so set it to at least 4 yourself. Use a dark code on a light background and test the final print size on the devices you expect people to use.
PNG is saved at 320 × 320 pixels; there is no export-size selector. SVG is a vector format that can be scaled. Choose the format your layout or printing software supports, preserve the margins after placement, and scan the finished output.
Generation runs in the browser and encodes the address; it does not encrypt it. Anyone scanning the QR can read that address, so consider whether a link contains private tokens. Successful generation does not validate the URL, availability or safety of its destination.
